What is the 4x4 Charter? It’s a set of ten basic principles for being a reasonable and responsible motorist - a Charter that we encourage you to embrace.

Why is it needed? As you are probably aware environmentalists, campaigners and certain Members of Parliament would like to see 4x4s driven off the road with increased Vehicle Excise Duty and increased taxes on new 4x4 sales.

Why is the Charter so important? At present there is no united voice for 4x4 drivers. We aim to be that voice by uniting everyone who owns or drives a 4x4 or is simply a concerned member of the public who sympathises with our plight. By joining the Charter you are saying to critics: ‘We do care about the environment’ and will show the public that we are prepared to act on helping reduce CO2 emissions. United we can bridge the gap, redress concerns, be heard, help the environment and be allowed to carry on using and enjoying our vehicles without being victimised or frowned upon.

'I really don’t need this.' Yes, you do!  If everyone with a 4x4 joined the Charter how strong a voice would that be? Simply put, by acting rather than reacting we have a fighting chance and could possibly save you £££ in the long run. If you enjoy your freedom and believe that 4x4 drivers have a rough time, then you cannot afford to turn away.
